Our creams have moved from 43 mL packaging to new 50 mL airless pump bottles. Although the packaging has changed, the formulas you know remain the same.

Why We Chose Airless Packaging

Airless packaging is designed to:

  • Help limit the formula’s exposure to air
  • Reduce direct contact with the product inside
  • Provide controlled, consistent dispensing
  • Help move the product upward as it is used
  • Reduce the amount of product left behind in the bottle

How Does an Airless Pump Work?

Unlike a traditional pump bottle, an airless bottle does not have a dip tube or straw inside.

Instead, each press of the pump helps create pressure that gradually moves a platform upward from the bottom of the bottle. This pushes the product toward the pump as you use it.

The small hole on the bottom of the bottle is intentional. It allows the airless system and rising platform to function properly.

How to Prime a New Pump

A new airless pump may need to be primed before the product begins dispensing.

  1. Keep the bottle standing upright.
  2. Press the pump down fully several times.
  3. Continue pumping at a steady pace until the product begins to dispense.
  4. Once primed, the pump should dispense normally with each use.

It may take several pumps the first time because the air inside the dispensing system must be cleared.

If Your Pump Stops Dispensing

The bottle may not be empty. Occasionally, trapped air can interrupt dispensing.

  1. Replace the cap and turn the bottle upside down.
  2. Gently tap the capped pump end against the palm of your hand several times.
  3. Remove the cap while keeping the bottle upside down.
  4. Press the pump fully several times until the trapped air is released and the product begins to dispense.
  5. Once the pump is working, return the bottle to its upright position and use it normally.

Airless Pump Care

  • Store the bottle upright when possible.
  • Keep the pump opening clean and dry.
  • Do not remove the pump or attempt to open the bottle.
  • Replace the cap after each use.
  • Do not insert anything through the dispensing opening.
